The subject of many of my paintings is competition. Competition will be experienced in many realms of life, this is why everyone can relate their own stories to my work. I am constantly competing with myself and with others whether they know it or not and I find a strange satisfaction knowing my strengths and weaknesses in this world. This is about feelings and the mind, coming to know what you already know about yourself.
Here exists many catalysts for my art. What happens inside us and outside our surroundings make us react in different ways because we are all uniquely built. I believe that humans possess a primal instinct that unadvisedly takes over in everyday situations. I enjoy taking a step back to enjoy myself and others interacting in raw nature like beasts. Not only do I find these situations mentally arousing, I find them hilarious. I try to poke fun at our bestial intuition because whether we like it or not, it exists.
Some of my work is serious
and some of it is satirical. Since my emotions change on an
hourly basis, so do my paintings.
I hope someday, I may be
able to share my thoughts with you in a more conventional manner.
I take much pride in telling my stories through my paintings and
press that my viewers engage in them with an open and fun mind.
